Challenge #1

Hello fellow crafty supply hoarders! Sami and I are thrilled about the response we have had to our challenge blog thus far! I hope you are equally as excited to dig into your scrappy stash and play along!

Challenge #1:
Our first challenge is to make something with an image you have not previously used for a project! This can be a digi image or good ol' fashioned stamp. Easy peasy! We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Please link your creation using Mr. Linky by Friday 18 February. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE001 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a link too so we can find your creation.

Please please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday (a link is great too!) challenge so we know you are playing along.

One lucky participant will be chosen randomly to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Here is a little inspiration to get you started!

Siobhan

Stamps: March Word Puzzle (CTMH), Mini Card Creations II (SP & Company) (And we won't talk about how long I have had the March Word Puzzle sitting my shelf...I think it might even be retired now...eekkk!)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Whisper White (SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green (SU), Versamark
Accessories: American Crafts ribbon, SU Buttons & Linen Thread, Stickles, Clear Embossing Powder

Have a fun idea for a challenge? Something from your stash you are itching to use but just have not had the time to do so? Leave us your feedback in the comments! We would love to hear your ideas!

  5. Since your Mr. Linky isn't working you can see my card here: http://judyscards.blogspot.com/2011/02/faux-pressed-flowers.html. I may have cheated a little, the wheelbarrow and sentiment is from a set I just got, instead of one I have had for a while. But on the bright side, I've never used either of those stamps before, and had never used those flowersoft colors before either.

  11. This totally inspired me to flip through my image catalog and randomly stop on a page, find a stamp that I had never used, and make something with it. Stampin' Up! Little Backgrounds was my unused, unloved stamp. I've had this set forever and never did anything with it.

  12. Judy, there is no limit! Enter as many times as you like!

  13. Song Lyrics:
"I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT
HE LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT
SHE LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT
    YOU LIKE TO, MOVE IT!"

I like to use it use it
He like to use it use it
She like to use it use it
You like to USE IT.......this is what goes through my head....I think it should be your blog's theme song...you still do karaoke, right, Siobhan?

  14. YAY!!! I got to play! Not totally happy with my card but at least I made one. I have had this TAC set forever but the MS butterfly punch is brand new, both unused prior to yesterday so as Lisa says, a TWOFER!

  15. I think I just invented a new way to use a border punch, at least I haven't seen this done before, then I had to make a card, so I used two unused stamps. Check out my #14 entry, I also included a redneck tutorial for it.
