Challenge #10: Inspiration Colors

Hello Users! We are feeling very 'original' for the challenge this week ;)

We want you to be inspired by America's Independence Day and use RED, WHITE, AND BLUE on your creations!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

Please link your creation using Inlinkz by Friday July 8th. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE010 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Here is a little inspiration to get you started:

France purchased a Lord Tim of Holtz seasonal paperstash, which contained these lovely papers. "I've had them for ages and was happy to finally do something with them. Not obvious for a Belgian gall to make an American patriotic piece, but I had great fun making!" Ha! See, even a gal from Belgium can play in our little color challenge! :)

Haven used her stash for all but the rhinestone stars! Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, she has a cardstock hoarding problem! Good thing people who live in glass houses should not throw stones! (Or maybe we should change that to people who live in craft rooms should not throw scissors...or paper airplanes...) :)

Heather made a card that literally made me laugh out loud! I love the ringy sentiment! Ironically enough, she said she does not have much of a need to send thank you cards 'down south', so the stamp sat uninked! And we are so glad she dusted off that leaf die and use her ribbon slide! It all fit perfectly, eh?! (That eh was for you Heather!)

Nancy has a love of buttons. Yes, you may wipe the drool from you lips because we know you do too! Buttons are so fun! As are flowers! And Nancy has quite the 'collection' from the Mike's floral dept! Who knew you could color them like this, though?! **love**

Sonya used many dusty items for this beauty! First off, she got this darling stamp from SU convinced she would use it for a Father's Day card...not as of yet! Paper...scraps from a calendar she made! And finally...and this one is noteworthy...flowers were from her very FIRST trip to Archivers! I know, I am honored she used them for a UIT post, too!

Dinah used a left over red base piece by My Mind's Eye! Why I can't I ever think to dress up solid paper like this?! She also used up hoarded thickers and all those alphabets, PLUS some rub-ons! What an amazing page!

And now, we have our Guest Designer from Challenge #8!! CARRIE!!! Thank you Carrie so much for designing for us! Do you know what she used? Not only old ribbon but an old DOOR HANDLE! Seriously...amazing!!

We can't wait to see what you create! Now go Use It!!

Challenge #9 Sightings

Sorry the sightings post is late. Truth be told, I am on vacation and Monday was spent with 3 kids on an airplane. Needless to say, by the time we ate dinner and got settled, all I wanted was a drink! :)

You ladies are so inspiring! Glad to see the dust being blown off those dies and such!

Remember, you have until Friday to play! Just link to our challenge post by then to have a chance at being our next Guest Designer! (But we all know the real prize is just using your stash, right?!)

Here are few wonderful projects that really caught our eye this week:

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for the rest of the week! Remember to Use It!!!

Challenge #9: Dies, Punches, Cut-outs, Oh My!

Hello Users! We are so excited for the challenge this week! Not only will it encourage you to use that stash, but it is our first official showcase with our shiny, new Design Team! We sure hope you play along!

And now, for the challenge!
We challenge you to USE YOUR UNUSED DIES, PUNCHES OR CUT-OUTS!

Be sure to tell us in your post what you used!

Please link your creation using Inlinkz by Friday June 24th. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE009 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation.

Dinah used a hanging sign die that she has had since last year. She was hoping to use it on a more girly layout, but I think it coordinates perfectly with the trains!

France used her coveted Tim Holtz mini gears mover and shaker! Normally she has an idea of what she is going to use something for when she buys it, but this sat unloved until now! We are so happy she "saved" it for us!!

Haven used a punch gifted to her by her Aunt Diane, who is currently undergoing chemo. Haven is going to help her complete her albums in return. So sweet!

Heather used this darling chipboard cut out frame! She, like many of us, purchased a premade kit and had this little treasure left over and in a forgotten drawer of goodies!

Jane used a forgotten Nestie die that was lost in a pile of papers! A pile of papers??! Say it is not so! I am sure none of us can relate to that problem!! :)

Nancy used a die gifted to her by her late mother. Her Mom always used the dies as a set, as they came attached, but Nancy recently realized they were really meant to be cut apart! Yay to new discoveries!

Siobhan used her SU lattice die that she 'had to have'. I guess it has not been sitting too long, but it is a shame it took this long to cut anything with it!

Sonya bought the ENTIRE Papertrey Friendship jar set when it came out. She has used other pieces, but never the ruffle! I think it adds the perfect touch!

We can't wait to see what you create! Now go Use It!!

Challenge #8 Winner and our New DT!

What an exciting time it is here at Use It Tuesday! We just wrapped up another successful challenge and we are unveiling our new Design Team!

The number of applicants we had for our team was both an honor and humbling. Choosing the team was so difficult for us. How could one blog be blessed with so many talented applicants?! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who applied; we sure wish we could have chosen all of you.

And now, Drum Roll Please....Let's meet the Designers!

Jane
Papillon
Heather
Nancy
Dinah
Haven
Sonya

If you have been playing with us for a while, several of those names should look familiar to you! 4 of the 7 on our team had been regular hoarders...I mean players. :) Excuse my slip up!

And now, we have our winner from Challenge #8!!

I used the InLinkz random generator for the first time. It is DARLING, but I can't figure out to post it here. LOL If you want to check up on me, it is posted by InLinkz above the links of all the entries in the Challenge Post. :)

CONGRATULATIONS CARRIE!!

Carrie made this beautiful Cogs 'n Sprogs Tag:

As always our winner will be asked to join us as a Guest Designer in an upcoming challenge! She also gets to put this awesome button on her blog!
