Challenge #54: Flowers for Mom

Happy Tuesday, Users!

As we come into the latter part of April we know that the warm weather, flowers and sunshine are just around the corner....
It's also a time to celebrate the special Mom's in our lives, whether they be ours or someone else's. : )

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

We're looking to see your fabulous entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday May 3, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE054 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Here's a look at the DT projects for the week:

Danielle documented that special pre-motherhood time with a photo from her cousin's pregnancy photo shoot. She used an Echo Park collection that she's had for about a year and was completely untouched. She also added some tags, pins, buttons and canvas butterflies that were in her stash too.

Stacey went with the "flowers" and "Mother's" themes with this gorgeous Mother's Day creation. The flowers on the card are at least 3 years old!

Tracy created this insightful layout about her Mother and all the wonderful lessons her Mom passed onto her. The patterned papers are only about a year old now, but did come from the scrap bin. The sticker letters and numbers, however are all over 6 years old. The blue ones are so old, they were no longer sticky and needed a little extra adhesive help!

Stephanie made this simple beauty with her Bo Bunny Jazmyne paper (about 2 years old). She also handmade the flower embellishments using paints from...not her stash, but her kids...that's over 10 years old!

Tammy wrote out her thoughts on Motherhood in this layout celebrating her son, born 4 years ago. Everything came from her stash, including "paper so old I don't even know who makes it!". What a fantastic memory piece!

Sherri used a Crate Paper collection that is at least 2 years old, but also added in some Petaloo flowers that have been in her stash almost as long!

Heather used some "very old" flower stickers. It was a big package and it was time to use it up and make room for more hoarded things. She also used paper and ribbon from a card kit that's been in her craft room for almost two years now.

And this week we have TWO Guest Design Team members for you:

Rina was our winner from our diecuts and punches challenge several weeks ago. She put some amazing detail into her project that week and is back again with an equally detailed creation. Rina tells us she has an extensive craft room and "all" the supplies are many years hoarded!

And Janis won our All About Spring challenge. She's back this week with a cute and adorable purse fold card using some great spring papers and flowers that have been in her stash for over 2 years!! Simply adorable, Janis! Thanks for playing with us again.

Your turn and we can't wait to see it....Go Use It!!

So much sticky goodness on our pages this week!!

Inlinkz channelled it's inner wisdom and Doreen with her pretty
Easter layout was chosen as our winner for this week.

I love that background paper!!! Congrats, Doreen! We hope to see you again soon at Use it Tuesday as a Guest Design Team Member for one of our upcoming challenges.

And which two projects stuck to the Design Team's hearts?

That would be Brenda Ragsdale with her deep blue layout celebrating Mother's love. Brenda used sticky alphas, banners and labels on her project for us this week.

Our other pick this week was Papersniffer with her "toad"-illy cute and perfectly coordinated Giant Toadstools layout. She used letter stickers on this beauty!

Here is the Top 2 Pick badge for your blog.
Congratulations and thanks for playing!!

Challenge #53: Sticky Situation!

Happy Tuesday, Users!

This week, we`re getting sticky. Our challenge is called "Sticky Situation" and we want you to dig out those hoarded things that stick....stickers, embossing, rub-ons, glue-dots, glue sticks, etc.

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

We're looking to see your fabulous entries on our Use It Tuesday site using Inlinkz by noon EST on Friday April 19, 2013. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE053 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation. (Linking tips are at the bottom of the post!)

Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use It Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

There`s lots of variety in our DT projects this week. Let`s see what everyone stuck to their projects this week:

Heather bought these flower embellishments almost 4 years ago and just never found the right project for them. She pairs them with a rub-on sentiment that's also several years old.

Danielle shares a page from her art journal with us. She finds rub-ons perfect for journaling and included alphas, flowers, stitches and work memory rub-ons on this bright page. Most of those rub-ons have been in her stash for almost a decade!

Stacey stuck with the stickers. Everything white on this card is a sticker from Making Memories that has been in her stash for at least 5 years...and the package had been NEVER opened!

Tracy  found this trio of koala's in her stash, just hanging around and waiting for this perfect picture. She also found these older patterned papers and coordinating embellishments in her stash. So adorable!

Nicole created this beauty using only scraps in her stash...the card base, doily die, ribbon...everything! She got sticky with this sentiment sticker, raised from the back of the card with foam risers. Want a neat Nicole tip...put powder on the back of your raised sticker to reduce the stickiness and keep the dimension of the raised sentiment during mailing.

Stephanie taught some of us a new word with this challenge....GLUBBERS! These large glue-dot like objects are great to turn some old ribbon (3 years in this case) into a beautiful rosette to adorn the card. The alphas on her project are also stash finds from about 4 years ago.

Sherri used some Crate Paper stickers that are at least 2 years old for her gorgeous layout, as well as a clip from when she first began scrapping with more than just stickers (about 5 years ago).

Tammy found some rub-ons to stick onto her project, but also found some glubbers in her room and opened them for this project. And, the paper represents the last of her MME All Spice paper pack.

What will you stick to your project? Go Use It!!

Challenge #52: WINNERS!!

Did last week's challenge put a spring in your step? It sure did for us!

Who did Inlinkz want to see as our next Guest Design Team member?
None other than Janis, who created this dandy spring time card.

Here you go, Janis! The Use it Tuesday winners badge is yours for the taking.
We'll see you again soon on an upcoming challenge.

And which two projects did the Design Team pick for our Top 2?

That would be Debbie Piercey with her brightly colored layout. For Debbie, spring means the school Field Day (oooh, I remember those), the chance to be outside away from the books.

Our other pick this week was from Michaela with her Easter card `Chicken Knittle` card. The detail and colors on this card was just amazing, Michaela!

Here is the Top 2 Pick badge for your blog.
Congratulations and thanks for playing!!

The glue has dried on the DT projects for this week and we`re ready to go. We hope you stick us on your calendar and play along!
